Time: 3.00pm to 4.30pm

Speaker: Mr Sean Lim (Vice-President, EC-Council)

Title of Talk: The Growing Importance of Information Security Globally
Synopsis: Undeniably, the surge in the use of ICT and the WWW in our daily lives, both at work and at play are becoming increasingly important. It is impossible to imagine a life without emails, mobile phones, the internet, ATMs, instant messaging and many other luxuries the digital world provides. That comes at a price that many of the unprepared and uninitiated are paying today when faced with the covert world of the criminals, the terrorists, and even certain governments. This presentation will zero in on the underground community and how the demand for information security professionals (aka cyberwarriors) are becoming increasing sought after in the global job markets.

Profile of Speaker:
Mr Sean Lim is the Vice-President of EC-Council and he is responsible for the deployment of EC-Council’s highly sensitive information security curricula and action plans to its training partners across 60 countries globally. He leads a team responsible in ensuring that all EC-Council technical trainers achieve the highest standard of training delivery.

Sean also leads the development of EC-Council University’s presence into Asia.
