HackSmith v1.0

HackSmith v1.0 is a first of its kind infosec hackathon held in Singapore. The objective of this hackathon is to promote Singapore's infosec tools development culture.

What's the topic of this hackathon? Infosec!

What kinds of submission are we looking for? Infosec tools! Tools for incident management, forensic investigations, threat hunting, pentesting, data analysis, etc. for any domain of choice, be it for Windows, Mac OSX, Mobile platforms, networking, cellular, etc.

Note: This is not a CTF nor exploit development competition.

Where will it be held?

<Coming Soon> Somewhere nice.

What's gonna happen? The hackathon will start with a short briefing. Teams will then start their development for 24 hours. A short presentation will then follow, to be scored by our judging panel.

Food and drinks will be provided!

Why should you participate? To hang out with fellow infosec enthusiasts and code together! You don't need to have an amazing idea, nor be the best coder. "I just want to spend a nice weekend coding with my fellow peers" is a good enough reason to register.

Judging Criteria:
• Novelty and complexity of the tool
• Usability of the tool
• Impact on the community - Does the tool helps a lot of people? Can the community build on this tool?
• "Format" of the tool - Is the tool a minor update to the existing tool, a major update, or is it a new tool

Prizes: Beautifully designed medals (Coins) for the top teams.
More Rewards: Good submissions will be showcased at Black Hat Asia 2018 (Edgis/Div0 Booth at the Exhibition Area). Potential Black Hat Arsenal submissions will receive help for the Arsenal's CFP.

Registration: Participants can either go solo, or take part as a team of up to 3 members. Register Form: https://goo.gl/forms/6O3BUinnMjSKMWWw1

Sponsors & Supporters: Black Hat Asia, We Build SG, The Honeynet Project (Singapore Chapter) and many more. HackSmith v1.0
