- Cohort success rate (NS: Complete the course within the stipulated 3 year duration).
- Progression rate to universities (NS: How many students go to universities)
- IT security-related professional certifications for students (NS: Should be IT security-related and not other general networking certifications)

What so SPecial about DISM (S54)

Frequently, we are being asked this question, "What is so special about DISM (S54)"?

Below are some answers to the question:

1) First to work with GovTech to establish the One-Year Polytechnic Technology Programme (PTP) - the Memorandum-of-Understanding (MOU) was signed on 8 Jan 2020.

2) First to have students from Singapore Polytechnic to attend the United Nations Cybersecurity Challenge @ Vienna, Austria. The event was hosted by Austria Institute of Technology and held on 5-6 December 2019.

3) First polytechnic to conduct the Bug Bounty event with YESWEHACK.com. The event was held at SP Cyber Wargame Centre on 1 September 2019.

4) First to win the Gold medals (together with NP) in the WorldSkills Singapore, Cyber Security category on 5 July 2018.

5) First to work with Cyber Security Agency (CSA) on the Youth Cyber Exploration Programme (YCEP) and conducted the inaugural YCEP in June 2018.

6) First graduate from DISM course, Daniel Ho, to be awarded the the Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship in 2016. Another DISM graduate, Teo Chuan Kai, also received PSC Scholarship in 2019.

7) First to establish the Singtel Cadet Scholarship (Cyber Security) with Singtel for our DISM students.

8) First to establish Cyber Security Academy (for working adults) in Institutes of Higher Learning in Singapore.

10) First to sign Memorandum-of-Understanding (MOU) with Ixia to provide Cyber Range (Essential and Advanced) curriculum for adult learners.

GovTech partners with SP on Polytechnic Technology Programme (PTP)

8 Jan 2020. The Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech) partners with Singapore Polytechnic on the Polytechnic Technology Programme (PTP), the first of such programme in Singapore.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony is held at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild. The two signatories are Mr D.N. Prasad, Senior Director (Strategy, People & Organisation), GovTech and Mr Lim Peng Hun, Deputy Principal (Acad), Singapore Polytechnic.

The PTP will provide opportunities for the SP students to have one-year internship programme at GovTech. Students will work on different technology areas including cyber security and other emerging technologies. Such work exposure aims to allow students to gain relevant work experience and attain deep skills in order to give them an edge in a competency-based work environment.

Simulating real-life attacks against key Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition (SCADA) components, we have setup the Cyber Physical Security Environment (CPSE) at SP Cyber Wargame Centre.

GCE O-level results to be released on 13 Jan 2020 - moe.gov.sg


SINGAPORE - The results of the 2019 GCE O-level examination will be released on Monday (Jan 13 2020).

In a press release on Monday (Jan 6), the Ministry of Education (MOE) said school candidates may collect their results from their schools at 2pm on 13 January 2020.

Private candidates will be notified of their results by post on the same day. They can also obtain their results online, via the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board's website, using their SingPass account.
