10 student groups had submitted their names for the RSA SOC Simulation Challenge event. 2 groups were eventually selected for the competition which was held on 27 Nov. Participants were exposed to network and forensic analysis, and were given the chance to work hands-on with some of RSA’s latest solutions including RSA Security Analytics and RSA ECAT (Enterprise Compromise Assessment Tool). After a quick explanation of the Cyber Kill Chain and a short demonstration of the tools, the participants were left to their own devices to start their “hunt”.
The group consisting of Year 2 students Chan Weiling, Tan Yee Tat and Wong Chong Peng obtained third place in the competition. Congratulations, team! Well Done!
